Description

The John Sibson tomb chest, located southwest of the Church of St Kentigern, dates from 1734 and features later inscriptions up to 1901 for members of the Sibson family. It is made of red sandstone ashlar and has a rectangular shape with a chamfered plinth and plain side panels. The top slab has a chamfered moulded edge, and there is an inscription commemorating John Sibson, who died in 1734, along with his wife.
