Description

A farmhouse with adjoining barn and stable, dating from the mid to late 18th century. The building has painted rendered walls and a graduated greenslate roof, with painted brick chimney stacks. The main farmhouse section is two storeys high and three bays wide, with a single-bay stable to the left and a two-bay barn to the right, all sharing a common roof. A gabled stone porch provides access to the farmhouse, containing a plank door and flanked by sash windows, all set within painted stone surrounds. The stable has a plank door, a loft doorway above, and flanking slit vents. The barn features a projecting cart entrance, with the return wall incorporating pigeon openings. A single-storey barn extension is not considered to be of architectural interest.
