Description
No 4 on Main Street is a 19th-century building constructed from ashlar stone, featuring a rusticated ground floor. It stands three storeys tall and is adorned with stone bands and a cornice. The centre of the building has a clock turret that is corbelled out, with the corners cut away and decorated with pilasters. The entrance consists of a narrow door topped by a round-headed fanlight that is delicately traceried. To the left, there is a modern shop front, while to the right is an Ionic doorway with two columns in antis and a cornice. The ground floor includes two 2-light windows with round lights, and the first floor has three 12-paned sash windows set in moulded architraves with cornices on consoles. The top floor features three plain sash windows. Additionally, there are two sash windows on each floor above the shop. No 4 is part of a group with Nos 2 and 4 and Nos 12 to 28 (even).
