Description

High House is a house dating from the late 18th or early 19th century, situated in Bother and Threlpland. It is built with painted incised stucco, featuring an eaves cornice and angle pilasters set on a chamfered plinth. The roof is covered with graduated greenslate, and the chimney stacks are cement rendered. The house has two storeys and a three-bay facade. It features a six-panel door, sheltered by a radial fanlight within an open-pedimented Tuscan doorcase. Sash windows with glazing bars are set in painted stone surrounds.
