Description

This is a late Georgian to early Victorian terrace of shops and houses located on Main Street, Hensingham. The buildings are rendered in stucco and extend over two storeys. Number 81 has a central doorway and two three-light sash windows with labels on the ground floor, and four modern windows above. Numbers 82 to 85 feature two sash windows on the upper floors; number 82 also has a bay window on the ground floor. Numbers 86 and 87 have Doric doorways leading up steps, along with panelled doors, two sixteen-paned sash windows on the upper floor, one on the lower floor, and cellars. The buildings contribute to a group value with numbers 35 to 48, 81 to 99, and numbers 4 to 8 Garden Villas.
