Description
The Croft, which includes an adjoining stable, barn, and byre wing, is a late 18th-century house that was formerly a farmhouse. It features brick walls, a graduated slate roof, and brick chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and consists of four bays, with the stables attached and the barn and byre extending at right angles towards the road. There are two entrances with plain stone surrounds; the main entrance has a four-panel door, while the other is made of planks. The windows are sash style with glazing bars and stone sills. The stables have large plank doors and are currently used as a garage. The barn and byre also have large plank doors, and there are stone steps leading to a central loft door, with two windows on the right featuring louvred vents. The walls are covered in ivy, which obscures the view of a single bay extension at the left end of the house, which is under the same roof.
