Description

The Manor House is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of Flemish bond brickwork with a Welsh slate roof and end brick chimney stacks. The main block is two storeys high and three bays wide, with a lower two-storey, one-bay left extension and a two-storey range to the rear that creates an L-shaped layout. The original doorway now has a French window, set within a stone architrave with a moulded and dentilled cornice. Sash windows with glazing bars are set within shallow segmental arches featuring keystones and stone sills. A 19th-century left extension has raised quoins, and stone sills and lintels to its sash windows with glazing bars. The rear extension has a ground floor of split river cobbles, and a brick upper floor.
