Description
River House is a house dating from the early 19th century. It features whitewashed incised stucco walls with rusticated quoins, a slate roof, and yellow brick chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and has two bays, with an extension to the right that is also two storeys and two bays, all under the same roof. The entrance and windows have plain stone surrounds, and the entrance includes a top-glazed six-panel door. The sash windows have glazing bars. The extension has plank garage doors in its original opening, which likely served as stables, along with sash windows that also have glazing bars. The house is listed partly for its group value with River House, The Cottage, and Corby Bridge.
