Description

This headstone, dating from the late 17th century, is made of limestone and is located approximately 2 meters south of the southeast corner of the chancel of the Church of St. Lawrence in Marston St. Lawrence. It features an inscription plaque set within a moulded frame, which is adorned with decorative swags of flowers, drapery, and a head. The headstone commemorates John Tayler, although the lower part of the inscription is buried.
