Description

The Church of St Mary the Virgin, built around 1885 by Matthew Holding, is designed in the style of the 13th century. It is constructed of squared rubble and ashlar, topped with a Welsh slated roof. The church features an aisled nave, a chancel with an apse, and a tall south-east tower that has a broach spire. There are also two west porches. The interior is vaulted and notably does not have a chancel arch. The church and the adjacent vicarage are recognized as a group.
