Description

This is a mid-19th century terrace of eight houses, numbered 1 to 8, St Giles’ Terrace. The houses are built of red brick with yellow brick dressings, and have a stone side elevation facing the churchyard to the south. They are topped with Welsh slate roofs, although the roofs of numbers 1 and 5 have been tiled. Each house is three storeys high and has two sash windows on each floor, each topped with a stucco lintel and keyblock. The ground floor windows are three-light, with wood mullions. The round-arched doorways feature Doric pilasters, archivolts and keyblocks. Number 2 has louvered shutters and plain ground floor windows. The houses are included on the list for their group value, relating to St Giles' Church and St Giles' Church School.
