Description

This headstone, dated 1691, is located approximately 11 meters west of the southwest angle of the south aisle of the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Castle Ashby. It is made of limestone and features a rounded top. The headstone is decorated with skulls and cross-bones, along with an inscription in relief that reads "CATRINA/ADAMS/1691." Below the inscription, there is a relief of a gesturing hand.
