Description

The steps and attached stone balls, located approximately 85 metres south of the garden front of Lamport Hall, were likely built in the mid-19th century. They are made of limestone ashlar and consist of a flight of two steps with stone balls positioned on both the left and right sides. These features are part of a formal garden layout that includes similar elements situated about 25 metres to the south-east and south-west, 55 metres to the south, and 85 metres to the south-east and south-west of the garden front. This structure is included for its group value with Lamport Hall.
