Description

The Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone and ironstone rubble, topped with a slate roof and features brick stacks. The building has two storeys and two bays. On the ground floor, there is a three-light window with a wooden lintel and iron casement in the left bay, and a similar two-light window in the right bay. The first floor has a two-light window with wooden lintels and iron casements. The entrance is located on the left side and includes a wooden lintel and a plank door. Inside, there are stop-chamfered spine beams, with joists that were renewed in the 20th century, as well as open fireplaces and an original newel stair at the rear.
