Description

This headstone, dating from around 1700, is located approximately 5 meters northeast of the northern corner of the north porch of the Church of St. Lawrence in Marston St. Lawrence. It is made of limestone and features a shield-shaped plaque surrounded by an elaborate carved frame adorned with scrolls, fruit, and flowers. In the top corners, there are winged cherubs' heads. The headstone commemorates Thomas Barnard, although the date is illegible.
