Description

The boundary wall from number 88 Watling Street, known as The Chantry House, to Amen Corner is of late medieval origin but has been significantly rebuilt at various times since. It is constructed from coursed limestone and ironstone rubble, topped with ridged ironstone coping. The wall stands approximately 2 metres high and extends about 50 metres in length. It runs from the rear left corner of The Chantry House along Church Lane to Amen Corner. This wall is included for its group value.
