Description
Nos. 9, 10, and 11 on High Street are three houses built in the mid-18th century. They are constructed from squared coursed lias stone and feature a cedar shingle roof. Originally, each house had a one-unit plan and they stand two storeys tall. Together, they form a five-window range, showcasing 19th and 20th-century casement windows set under wooden lintels. There are three plank doors, also under wooden lintels, positioned between the windows. Brick stacks are located at the ridge and at the ends of the buildings. A straight joint between Nos. 9 and 10 suggests that No. 9 may have been built in the late 18th century. Although the interiors were not inspected, it is reported that Nos. 10 and 11 have chamfered ceiling beams and remnants of open fireplaces.
