Description
Number 50 on Market Place is an ancient house, possibly dating from the 17th century. It has three stories and is constructed of coursed rubble, with a roughcast front added in the late 18th century. The front features a moulded cornice, a parapet, and Doric side pilasters. There is a modern boxed-out shop front with a bracketed flat hood. Plain bands are present at the first and second floors. The building has two brick chimneys on stone bases and four sash windows set in moulded stone frames.
