Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates back to 1666, with significant alterations made in the mid 18th century and mid 19th century. It is constructed from squared coursed limestone and features a concrete tile roof. The building originally had a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic. The façade includes a two-window range of 19th-century sash windows, all set beneath wooden lintels. A central 20th-century glazed door, also under a wooden lintel, provides the main entrance. The farmhouse is adorned with ashlar gable parapets and has ashlar stacks at the ridge and ends. Above the door, there is a datestone displaying the arms of the Sanderson family, which is likely a reset feature. To the left, there is a mid-19th-century three-window range in a similar style, which includes a six-panel door with glazed top-lights to the right. The farmhouse is said to have been the home of the Sanderson family, who were the lords of the manor of Little Addington. It was likely the farmhouse associated with the manor house, which has since been demolished.
