Description
Vine Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century to the early 18th century. It is constructed of regularly coursed limestone and features a concrete tile roof. The original layout was a three-unit plan, and the building stands two storeys tall with an attic. The front has a four-window range of 20th-century casements with glazing bars, all set under original wooden lintels. There is a 20th-century door located at the far left. The cottage has ashlar gable parapets and brick and stone stacks at both the ridge and the ends. To the right, there is a 19th-century, one-unit, two-storey extension. The rear elevation is similar to the front. Although the interior was not inspected, it has been noted to contain remains of an open fireplace.
