Description

Church Hill Cottage is a house, dating from 1712 as indicated by a datestone. It is built of squared coursed limestone with a pantile roof. The house has a three-unit plan and is two storeys high with a three-window front. The windows are 20th century casements with glazing bars, set under wooden lintels. A Lincolnshire dormer window is located on the first floor towards the right. A 20th century stone porch is positioned to the right of the centre of the front. The gables have ashlar parapets, and there is a stone stack, now rendered, at the ridge. The rear elevation is similar in appearance. The interior, which has not been inspected, is noted to contain remains of an open fireplace with a bressumer. The building is included on the list for its group value.
