Description
The barn and attached granary, located approximately 50 meters west of the Church of St. Mary and All Saints in Pilton, date from the late 18th century. They are constructed from squared coursed limestone and feature a roof made of Collyweston and asbestos slate. The barn is a single unit with the granary attached, creating a rectangular layout. The granary has two stories. There is a cart entrance on the right side with a wooden lintel, and a plank door to the first floor on the left, also under a wooden lintel, which is accessed by a flight of stone steps. The roof has a hipped design, and the interior roof structure is likely original. This building is included for its group value with the nearby church.
