Description
Pipewell Upper Lodge Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone with ashlar dressings and has a slate roof. The building originally had a two-unit plan and is two storeys high, featuring a three-window range. At the center, there is a mid-19th century gabled porch with a panelled door. The first floor has a plain sash window in the center, while the other windows are tripartite sash windows, all with glazing bars and under gauge stone heads. The corners of the farmhouse are accentuated by large ashlar pilasters, and there are ashlar gable parapets along with brick and stone stacks at the ends. A mid-19th century wing at the rear includes some casement windows with cast iron glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected.
