Description

South Bridge is a bridge located on Barnwell Road in Oundle, dating from the 18th century but with earlier origins. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone with ashlar dressings. The bridge features seven semi-circular arches, with three at the north end being segmental and possibly part of the earliest construction. There are two cutwaters with a refuge on the west side. The bridge has a plain parapet with chamfered coping.
