Description
Knuston High Farm and the attached barn are a farmhouse and barn built in the mid-18th century and early 19th century. The buildings are constructed from regular coursed limestone and ironstone, topped with asbestos tile and corrugated sheet roofs. The farmhouse originally had a two-unit plan and stands three storeys high. It features a three-window range with 20th-century casements set in original openings beneath wooden lintels. The central entrance is a six-panel door framed by a moulded wood doorcase with a cornice above. To the left, there is a one-unit, two-storey section with a single window and a 20th-century door, also with a moulded wood surround. The barn, which is attached to the far left, dates from the mid-18th century and has a corrugated metal roof along with ashlar gable parapets. The interiors have not been inspected.
