Description
Number 20 (Walnut House) and 22 are two dwellings that were originally a house built in the late 18th century to early 19th century. The building is constructed of squared coursed limestone and has a concrete tile roof. It features an original two-unit plan with an attached single-storey range. The structure has one and two storeys with attics.
Number 20, known as Walnut House, has a three-window range with 20th-century casements in the original openings, all under wood lintels. The central door, also from the 20th century, is positioned under a wood lintel. The building has a mansard roof with two hipped roof dormers, each containing 20th-century casement windows, and brick stacks at both ends. The attached single-storey range to the left has a similar two-window arrangement.
Number 22 is a single-storey, three-window range of casements attached to the left of Walnut House, featuring two 20th-century eaves dormers and a brick stack at the end. The entrance is located in the left gable. Inside Number 20, there are remains of an open fireplace, while Number 22 has a corner cupboard with fielded panelled doors, which is likely to have been reset.
