Description

Fulmer Hall is a building dating from 1833 and the mid-19th century, designed in an Italianate style. It features a rendered and colour-washed exterior with a slate roof. The structure is three storeys high and has five bays, with the inner three bays slightly projecting forward. The outer two bays also project and have even quoins on both sides.

On the ground floor, there is one sash window with a moulded surround and a cornice supported by brackets, alongside a possibly altered double sash window. The entrance door is in a Jacobean style and is set within a semicircular porch that has four Ionic columns, an entablature, and a balustrade. There is another possibly altered double sash window and a single sash window that correspond with the other windows.

A band runs at the first-floor level, where there is a square sash window beneath a pediment on brackets, a double sash window beneath a cornice on brackets, and a French window with a simple iron balcony above the door within the porch. There are also another double sash window and a pedimented sash window that match the others. A band is present at the second-floor level, which features a sash window in a moulded surround, three double sash windows in moulded surrounds, and another sash window in a moulded surround. The building is topped with a dentilled cornice and a balustrade, with a segment-headed raised panel in the centre bay.

To the left of the building, there is a screen wall with two pairs of gate piers topped with lions. The right-hand return of the building extends three bays deep, plus a blank bay. The right side and the rear of the house feature a likely later paved terrace with a balustrade, which is accessed at the rear by a double flight of steps.
