Description

Stoke Cottage is a small house dating from the 17th century, which has been heavily restored in the 20th century. It features a timber frame that has been largely renewed, with painted plaster infill and a thatched roof. The roof is hipped at the left-hand end and half hipped over the right-hand wing. The building has two brick chimneys and is L-shaped in plan. It is two storeys high, with a projecting wing on the right-hand side that includes a small two-light window on the ground floor and a three-light casement window in the centre of the first floor. The left-hand part of the building has modern leaded casements and irregular fenestration, along with a modern tiled lean-to addition that is one storey high.
