Description
Bell Cottage and Tudor Cottage are a block of two cottages from the 17th century that have been altered. They are timber framed with colourwashed brick infill, a refacing, and a 20th-century extension. The cottages form an L-shaped block with tiled roofs, featuring two chimney stacks on each range. They are one storey high with an attic.
The range of No. 31 faces the road and consists of four bays, with a 20th-century refacing and extension to the left-hand side. It has four flat-roofed eaves dormers, a door located in the second bay from the left, and three 20th-century wooden casements. The right-hand gable wall displays timber framing and a projecting stack.
The rear wing, which is No. 35, includes three 20th-century dormers, a door to the left, and irregular 20th-century casements on the ground floor. The south elevation features two gabled eaves dormers and four irregularly spaced 20th-century casements.
