Description

Brook Cottage is a house dating from the 17th to early 18th century, with alterations and a late 18th to early 19th century bay at one end. It features a timber frame with brick and whitewashed render infill, while the far bay is constructed of flint with brick dressings and whitewashed render that indicates former chimneys. The roof is half-hipped and thatched, with a brick chimney situated between the two nearest bays. The building has two storeys and consists of four irregular bays, with the nearest bay offset and featuring a lobby entry. The thatched roof extends over a projection in front of the second bay. The windows are irregular 20th-century barred wooden casements, and there is a 20th-century door located in the thatched porch.
