Description
This barn, located adjacent to the northeast of Lodge Hill Farmhouse, dates back to 1736, as indicated on the tie beam. It is timber framed, with some sections featuring weatherboard cladding and others covered, all topped with a corrugated iron roof. The barn has a brick plinth and consists of five bays. There is an off-centre cart entry to the right, with a gabled projection opposite. The barn has been extended by one bay to the right, linking it to a 19th-century gabled block made of flint and brick, which has a slate roof. Inside, the original barn showcases curved principal trusses with small raking struts supporting the lower purlins, braced tie beams, and diagonal wind-braces.
