Description
Red House Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 18th century, possibly built over an earlier structure. It is constructed of brick and features an old tile roof with tile-coped gables. The building has a narrow wooden eaves cornice with dentils and stacks located at the gables and the center. The farmhouse is two storeys high and consists of four bays. It has barred sash windows with gauged brick heads. The second bay from the left is blank on the first floor, while below it is a six-panelled door that is top-lit, set within a wooden doorcase. This doorcase has a blind arch above the door, supported by an open pediment on scroll brackets, with panelled pilaster strips on either side. To the left, there is a single-storey extension that is set back, featuring one paired barred casement window.
