Description
Nos. 24, 26, and 28 Mentmore Road are a range of three cottages dating from the late 17th century to the 18th century. They feature a timber frame with whitewashed brick infill and a rendered plinth, while the ground floor has been partly rebuilt in whitewashed brick. The cottages have a corrugated iron roof that is half-hipped to the left, with a brick chimney situated between the left bays. The buildings are one storey and an attic high, with four irregular bays. The ground floor includes five irregular 20th-century wooden casement windows. In the attic, there are four eaves-line dormers with catslide roofs and wooden casements; the leftmost dormer is from the 20th century, while the others are from the 19th century, featuring a combination of three-light and two-light windows. Additionally, there are three board doors and a whitewashed brick lean-to at the rear.
