Description
The School House is a house dating from the early 18th century, which was refronted in 1851, as indicated by a plaque. The front is constructed of flint with brick dressings, while the gables are rendered and whitewashed, featuring timber trusses. The rear is timber framed with whitewashed brick infill. It has a plain tile roof and brick chimneys located to the left and between the right bays. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays. The front features wooden casements from 1851, which include horizontal glazing bars and stop-chamfered mullions. The left bay has three-light windows, while the other bays have two-light windows. The upper windows are topped with half-timbered gables that have bargeboards, and the lower windows are adorned with flat brick arches. There is a board door situated between the left bays, which is sheltered by a small lean-to tiled hood, and above it is a diamond-shaped date plaque. The building is included for its group value.
