Description
Old Bakery Cottage is a house dating from the 17th to early 18th century that has been altered and extended. It features a timber frame with whitewashed brick infill, with the ground floor mostly rebuilt in whitewashed brick. The upper storey has framing that is concealed by ornamental half-timbering. The building has an old tile roof and an external chimney made of whitewashed brick on the right side. It is two storeys high with two original bays. The windows are irregular 20th-century paired leaded casements, and there is a flush panelled door in the left bay. Across the ground floor, there is a verandah with a pent tiled roof supported by posts. To the left, there is a slightly lower half-timbered bay with similar casements, the upper one being a three-light window. There is also another narrow extension at a slight angle to the far left, which includes a garage entry and a flat-roofed dormer. The cottage is included for its group value.
