Description

Queen Caroline's Monument, likely designed by Vanbrugh around 1725, was relocated to its current site by 1754. The monument features a group of four Ionic columns standing on a podium, topped by a statue of the then Princess of Wales, who later became Queen Caroline. The statue may have been created by Rysbrack.
