Description
The range of outbuildings adjacent to the west of Beachendon Farmhouse is a barn with lower flanking outbuildings, dating from the 17th to early 18th century, with some alterations. The structure is built of rubble stone and features half-hipped old tile roofs. The barn consists of five bays and includes triangular air vents with brick surrounds, most of which are blocked. There is a central cart entry and irregular rectangular openings. The trusses inside have braced tie beams, slightly raking queen posts, collars, and later small struts, along with curved wind-braces. The lower ranges also have irregular rectangular openings and doors.
