Description
The Parish Church of Holy Trinity, located on Penn Church Road, dates from the 13th to the 15th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. The building features a roughcast exterior with flint and brick. Inside, there is a notable 15th-century timber roof and an interesting painting of 'doom' on wood. The church contains brasses, hatchments, and monuments, including a hatchment of Queen Anne, who was a frequent visitor, and a monument over the vault of six grandsons of William Penn, the sons of Thomas Penn, who was the Proprietor of Pennsylvania. Additionally, there is a 17th-century marquetry pulpit that was removed from Curzon Street Chapel in 1899.
