Description
The Old Vicarage is an early 19th-century whitewashed brick house located on Penn Church Road. It features a lead nipped Welsh slate roof and stands two storeys high. The facade includes a pedimented slight central projection with three double-hung sash windows set in reveals, complete with sills and flat arches. The entrance boasts a six flush panel door topped by an elegantly traceried semi-circular fanlight, framed by a projecting brick surround with a round-headed arch, impost bands, and a keyblock. Additional architectural details include a first-floor band and an eaves cornice. To the right, there is a projecting lower service wing with one window. The east elevation mirrors the front, except it has two windows in the center and lacks a doorway. Chimney stacks are positioned astride the pediments.
