Description
The barn located to the west of Roughwood Farmhouse is an early 18th-century structure featuring five bays and is constructed with weatherboarded timber framing. It was extended by one bay to the northeast in the late 18th or early 19th century. The barn has an old tiled roof and a brick plinth. There is a wagon entry in the third bay from the west, which is accompanied by a gabled porch on the south side. The north or rear elevation has two added dormers. Inside, the barn features queen strut trusses and curved braces. The east end of the barn has a hipped roof. To the south, there are open shelter sheds, while the north side has closed lean-tos that are covered by a 'cat slide' roof.
