Description

St Anselm (House of Prayer) is a building that dates from the late 19th century but has a core from the 17th century. The south elevation features two storeys, with a lower storey made of red brick and a first floor that is roughcast and colourwashed, overhanging slightly. The roof is tiled and has two gables in the recessed central section. On the ground floor, there are two 3-light bay windows and a central door that has a wooden hood supported by brackets. The first floor features a sash window arrangement of 1:3:1 in each gable, and all windows have glazing bars. On the right-hand return, there is a 17th-century chimney against a slightly projecting gable.
