Description

No 139 on High Street in Amersham is a building that was refronted in the 18th century, likely based on a 17th-century house. The exterior is rendered and painted with ashlar lines, and it features an old tile roof with a large central chimney stack. The building has two storeys and a central six flush panel door set in a wooden surround, topped with a hood supported by shaped brackets. There are double-hung sash windows on either side of the door and two more on the first floor. The left wing of the building is also rendered and has a Welsh slate roof. This wing is two storeys high and includes a carriage door on the ground floor and a double-hung sash window on the first floor.
