Description
The Temple of British Worthies is a garden monument built around 1735 by architect William Kent. It features a curved wall adorned with a series of pedimented niches, each with rusticated arches that house a portrait bust of a notable figure. In the center stands a high stepped pyramid that includes an oval niche. The busts are created by sculptors John Michael Rysbrack and Peter Scheemakers.
