Description
Old Bakery House is a house that was formerly a bakery, dating from the 17th century and altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, featuring a plain-tile roof and a brick ridge stack. The building has a three-unit lobby entry plan and is two stories high with a four-window range. The central door, added in the 20th century, is topped by a straight hood. To the right of the door, there are two-light casement windows on the ground floor, with wooden lintels; the far right window replaces a former door. To the left of the door, there are three-light casement windows on the ground floor and above on the first floor, along with two additional three-light casement windows on the first floor to the right, all featuring wooden lintels. The eaves are cogged brick. Inside, the house has chamfered spine beams and back-to-back fireplaces, one of which has an ogee stop-chamfered bressumer.
