Description

Number 58 is a mid-19th century house. It is constructed of pale chequer brick with white brick headers, and features a rendered battlemented parapet and rendered Tudor hoodmoulds over the lower windows. The roof is slate, with a central brick chimney. The house has two storeys and four small bays. The ground floor has barred sash windows with cambered heads, while the first floor has paired 19th-century wooden casements, also with cambered heads. A boarded and studded door is set within an arched opening in the right-hand bay. A short section of mid-19th century garden wall adjoins the house to the left; it is built of red brick with a stone coping to a battlemented parapet and includes small buttresses, blocked cross slits, and an arched door. The building is included in the listing for its group value.
