Description
Cromwell Cottages is a pair of houses that were formerly a barn, dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. The cottages are constructed with a timber frame featuring regular uprights, thin diagonal braces, and brick infill, which is whitewashed on the left gable. There is a brick plinth with later buttresses and a thatched roof. The buildings are two storeys high with four irregular bays. The windows are single 20th-century barred wooden casements, with one located on the ground floor of the second bay, a staircase window in the left bay, and two in the first floor of the right bays. The third bay has an additional small single light. There is a 20th-century barred and glazed door in the left bay, while the entry to No. 2 is located on the right side.
