Description
Forge Cottage is a cottage from the mid-18th century that has been altered. It features a slight timber frame with long curved braces, brick infill, and a rendered plinth. The roof is covered with 19th-century tiles and has cusped bargeboards, along with a brick chimney that has grouped shafts at the southern end. The cottage is one storey high with an attic and consists of two bays, each having small gables facing east. The east side has 20th-century paired leaded casements and a 20th-century lean-to porch on the left. The west side includes a gable on the left, one old single leaded window, a 20th-century chimney, and an infill panel with blue brick diaper. There is also a 20th-century single-storey bay at the southern end.
