Description

The Church of St James is a parish church built in 1859, designed by architect Sir William Tite. It features a combination of white and yellow brick with red brick diapering, and has a Welsh slate roof. The church has a cruciform plan and is topped with an octagonal dome, which is surrounded by four square turrets that have concave conical roofs. There is also a campanile located at the north-west corner of the building.
