Description
The George Public House is an 18th-century building located on Burnham High Street. It is constructed of red brick and features an old tile roof with a modillion cornice. The building has two storeys and includes three sash windows along with a tripartite window above the carriage entrance. The first floor has a continuous band at the sill level. On the ground floor, there is a right-hand carriageway that reveals exposed beams in the ceiling. Additionally, the ground floor has two sash windows and a door with a cornice hood supported by brackets, which is accessed by four steps with cast iron railings. There is also a wrought iron support for the inn sign. At the rear, there is a 16th-century wing made of colourwashed brick and exposed timber framing.
