Description
Padbury Mill is a former watermill and house located in Padbury. The mill, situated to the north, dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It features a timber frame with whitewashed brick infill on the left bay and a weatherboarded section on the right, which is positioned over the mill race. The mill has a tiled roof and is two storeys high with two bays. It includes irregular small paired casements and board doors, along with remnants of a wooden mill wheel.
The attached house to the south has been largely rebuilt in the 19th and early 20th centuries. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and has an old tiled roof. The house is also two storeys tall, comprising three bays, each with weatherboarded gables. It features mullion and transom windows and has been extended to the south.
